As the title indicates, I’m home alone on this winter balmy Monday night. I think that I’ll go wild and use all of the kitchen appliances that I never get to use. I always mention the weather for some reason, even in songs – I think it comes from Tom Waits. He once said – “My theory is that songs have to be anatomically correct. They need to have weather in them and the name of a town and usually something to eat – in case you get hungry.”
I tried getting my old Sony Discmen working this week. I’m actually listening to CDs more than my iPhone/itunes these days and I wanted to have the capacity to use that old tech. Unfortunately, they’re both on the blink. You must be able to buy them somewhere these days. Isn’t old school the thing? I bought the new Tom Petty and Kate Bush’s Hounds Of Love and I’m keen to get the headphone experience going with them. Right now, I’m listening to John Grant’s fine Pale Green Ghosts on Spotify.
A quiet few weeks musically working towards an active August and September. See the gig page for a variety of upcoming Jack-like musical experiences.

It’s worth a read and attempts a pretty comprehensive overview of all the band members who’ve been involved over the years and the various recordings that I’ve made.
